Dough tougheners
These are products that, added to the formulation of the ceramic body, increase the mechanical strength and flexibility after pressing both before and after the dryer. They increase the resistance to stresses during raw processing and reduce waste. The new Hydrosol series is able not only to increase the breaking load in raw material but also to avoid the formation of a black heart during cooking due to its oxidizing effect of organic compounds. These products are in powder or liquid form and can be placed directly in the mill or sprayed in the glazing line before the engobe.
Fluidifiers
They are liquid or solid products capable of decreasing the viscosity and the shear stress in glazes and engobes, guaranteeing better application and adhesion to the substrate. The body fluidifiers are able to decrease both the viscosity and the thixotropy of the ceramic bodies, increasing the working density and favoring energy savings and increasing productivity.
Binders
The multifunctional binders increase the cohesion of the glazes and the adhesion between the various ceramic applications.
They lengthen the drying times, improve the application, prevent the formation of production defects and reduce the dusting of glazes and engobes. They are produced both in powder and liquid form and it is possible to add them both in the mill and directly in the glazing line.
Serigraphic medium
Hydra Italia has a complete range of traditional and self-fixing screen printing media suitable for any type of application: flat or rotary screen printing, rotocolor, laser roll, high definition or thickened. In particular, the range of mediums for third firing satisfies all the needs of the market.
Special products
Hydra Italia supplies a complete range of special products able to satisfy all the needs or problems of the ceramic process:
Antibacterials: specially formulated to avoid bacterial degradation in glazes and engobes.
Suspenders: products able to eliminate the sedimentation of the grits, maintaining an optimal working viscosity to be applied in the glazing line and guaranteeing a perfect application.
Thickeners: these are products that with minimal dosages increase the viscosity of aqueous systems while leaving the density unaltered.
Lubricants: they are products that lengthen drying and prevent the formation of crusts on the application huts and their consequent fall on the enamelled surfaces.
Tracers: products capable of coloring raw enamels and screen printing pastes and which then burn in the oven without leaving residues.
Fixers: concentrated glues which, following an adequate dilution, can be sprayed on the enamelled surfaces for a subsequent dry application of grit and / or stippling.
Surface treatments
It is a complete line for the treatment of lapped or polished surfaces. It offers products capable of restoring resistance to stains and chemical agents altered by sanding operations. It does not leave streaks or change the gloss and reflection of the surface. The range of these treatments also consists of products capable of increasing the brilliance of surfaces as well as a series of treatments designed for matt lapped surfaces capable of enhancing their matting and softness.
